Middle School Beach Retreat

We had a BLAST this past week at the beach with our middles school students.  Our retreat was focused on the importance of purity in our lives.  It was colder than usual at the beach, but we still had a lot of fun.  We even had some students get in the cold ocean.  If you want to see more pictures from the weekend click here.

Overflow Rewind 3/29

A rundown of what happened last week at Overflow:

• We read the fight attendant rap.
• We had a major car wreck.
• Worship Set: Brother Friend, Mighty Mighty Savior, The Happy Song.
• We heard Josh’s testimony.
• This was the third week in our series called Un_Locked.  A four part series on the importance of forgiveness in our lives.  We looked at how God wants us to forgive ourselves.
• Main Text: 1 Timothy 1:12-17
  
• Main Thought: It’s time for you to FORGIVE yourself and LIVE.
  

Overflow Rewind 3/22

A rundown of what happened last week at Overflow:

• We saw a boy get knocked off his feet.
• The high school students beat out the middle school students by one point.
• We identified baby stuff.
• Worship Set: Romans 16:19, Every Move I Make, The Happy Song.
  
• This was the second week in our series called Un_Locked.  A four part series on the importance of forgiveness in our lives.  We looked at how God wants us to forgive others.
• Main Text: Acts 15:39-40; 2 Timothy 4:9-11
  
• Main Thought: Forgive others and Live the life God has called you to.

Overflow Rewind 3/15

A rundown of what happened last week at Overflow:

• We heard the healthy food rap.
• We learned that Wendi is scary when it comes to the Noodle Game.
• Worship Set: Be Glorified, Let Everything that has Breath, In the Secret
  
• We began a new series this week called Un_Locked.  This is a four part series on the importance of forgiveness in our lives.  This first night we talked about the importance of Un_Locking forgiveness in our lives so that we can properly worship God.
• Main Text: Matthew 5:21-24
  
• Main Thought: When we really FORGIVE we will really LIVE.
  

High School Ski Retreat

Overflow Rewind 2/22

A rundown of what happened last week at Overflow:

• We saw an amazing wheelbarrow race.
• We learned a lot of Worthless Knowledge (Polar Bears are left handed).
• Worship Set: Take it All, Worthy of My Praise, In the Secret
  
• This was our last week in our series called 24/7.  Where we have been asking the question what would our days be like if we decided to spend all 24 hours focused on God.  This week we focused on the Evening Hours (Taking time to withdraw from distractions, and Reflecting and Journaling what God has been doing)
• Main Text: Matthew 14:1-13 (focusing on 13)
  
• Main Thought: Time with God during the Evening Hours will help your mind to relax and have the right focus.
  

Announcements:

• We’re taking on the challenge of buying a goat for those in need.  Don’t forget to bring your loose change and bills to be able to help out families in need.
• Guys Paintball – Saturday, March 21st.  All the guys are invited to join us for a fun day of paintball.  More details to come.
• Girls Event – Friday, March 27th.  All the girls are invited for a fun night of girl stuff.  More details to come.
• Middles School Retreat – April 6th-8th.  We’re going to be heading to the beach!  This will be a fun retreat featuring games, the beach, and so much more!  This will be our middle school True Love Waits retreat.  The cost of the trip is $60, and a deposit of $30 will be due on March, 8th.

A rundown of what happened last week at Overflow:

• Someone had a potty mouth.
• The guys beat the girls in our game and found the most items.
• Worship Set: The Happy Song, What a Friend we have in Jesus, In the Secret
  
• This was the second week in our series called 24/7.  We are asking the question what would our days be like if we decided to spend all 24 hours focused on God.  This week we focused on the School Hours (Prayer throughout the day, and Thinking on the good things)
• Main Text: Philippians 4:6-8
  
• Main Thought: Time with God during the school hours gives your mind the right focus.

A rundown of what happened last week at Overflow:

• We saw some crazy eyebrows.
• We found out who had the most hot air.
• We had a race to see who could find the most random items.
• Worship Set: Take it All, Psalm 40, Bring the Rain
  
• We started a brand new series called 24/7.  We are asking the question what would our days be like if we decided to spend all 24 hours focused on God.  The first week we focused on the Morning Hours (Giving God Praise, and Hungering for the Word)
• Main Text: Psalm 34:1-10
• Main Thought: Time with God in the morning hours will help you to start off your day with the right focus.
